What do I need to get a Signature loan from Checkpoint One?

In order to get a signature loan, you must first set up an account with us.  In order to be eligible to
set up an account, we have a few basic requirements:

  • You need to have a full time job (6-months) or some other reliable source of income such as social
    security or retirement

  • In most cases you will need to have an active checking or savings account on a bank that has a
branch in the local area.  If you don't have an active checking or savings account, we may still be
able to give you a loan, but the amount we can loan you will be limited.

  • You can not currently be in an active bankruptcy.

  • You must live in the general area near one of our locations.

I currently have a Signature loan with you, can I get another?

  • When you first set up your account at one of our offices, we will let you know what your credit limit
is.  You are welcome to borrow up to that limit.  We don't have a minimum loan amount, so you can
borrow only as much as you need at a time, and have multiple loans at the same time.

If I make a loan with Checkpoint One and pay it off early, will I be charged less?

Yes.  Checkpoint One only charges for the number of days you use on a loan. Even if you use 2
days of a 30 day loan, you will only be charged for 2 days at the same rate    the loan was written for.

Can I have a Signature loan and a title loan out at the same time?

Yes.  You can have both signature and title loans  out at the same time, however you will be limited
    to a maximum loan
amount of 50% of your gross monthly income between both loans.

Can I pay to extend my signature or title loan with a check or with my debit or credit card?

Yes.  Checkpoint One does allow you to pay an extension fee for a signature or title loan with a
personal check or using your credit or debit card.  We do not allow you to pay towards your principle
balance using credit or debit cards though.

What if I take out a Signature loan and then change my mind?

If you make a Signature loan with us and have second thoughts, you may rescind the loan at no
charge to you by 5:00 PM the following day.

My account was set up in your Vernal office. If I am in St. George and need a loan, will I be able to
make a loan in your St. George office?

Yes.  Once you have set up an account with one of our offices, you can make a loan in any of our
locations.  You will however need to inform the office where you wish to make the loan where our
account was established before they can make you a loan.

My loan comes due before my payday.  Can you wait a few extra days till I get paid?

Yes.  If you ever need a few extra days to come in to pay for your loan, that can be done with a
simple request by phone from you.   We do charge a late fee though if you are more than 10 days
    late.

Do I need a checking or savings account to make a Signature loan with Checkpoint One?

In most cases you will need to have an active checking or savings account on a bank that has a
branch in the local area. If you don't have an active checking or savings account, we may still be
able to give you a loan, but the amount we can loan you will be limited.

Do you make loans on vehicles older than 10 years old?

Yes. Checkpoint One does not have a cut off date for loaning on vehicles. The age of the car will
almost always be the deciding factor of how much we will be able to loan against it.   The condition
of your vehicle and its mileage are main concerns when determining the loan amount
